"Now, to the reason I volunteer at Encore. I am a grandmother of children in Jackson Christian and a mom of three grown graduates of Jackson Baptist. There wasn’t tuition assistance back then. We prayed, believed and God provided all those years and believe me it was tight most of the time. Today’s economy is unstable and job security is a thing of the past. Praise God for tuition assistance available through the Encore store ministry.

"Rachel and I are both alumni of Jackson Christian School. We know firsthand the education that one can expect to receive from this amazing school. At our interview I asked Aaron Metzcar why we should send our girls to JCS versus another school in the area. He said, “there are some other quality schools in the area that teach good morals and character. But at JCS we can and do teach on the authority of the Word of God. When you have a school, home and church who are all communicating the same thing to a child, you build a very strong foundation.” I couldn’t argue with that statement nor did I want too! That is the reason why we send our kids to JCS.

"If it had not been for others who were interested in helping assist our parents with the finances of Christian school, my wife and I would not have had the opportunity to attend Jackson Christian ourselves. We understand firsthand the sacrifice others made for our education. Since we are missionaries who serve stateside and are responsible to raise our own support, our income alone is not enough to enable us to send our kids to JCS. It has been awesome to see God provide. He just happens to do that amazingly using people through this venture called Encore! I have no idea how we would be able to send our kids to JCS without the tuition assistance program.

Rachel has been able to help with sorting items on occasion and I have provided technical support with computers, and helped to develop the online and email marketing. For me, it is a natural response to want to give back and help with what has been such a huge blessing to our family.
